Mary Wells is currently a music specialist in the Lodi Public Schools, Lodi, CA and percussion instructor at San Joaquin Delta College.

Mary freelances in northern California, most notably with the Stockton Symphony and the Stockton Chorale and performs with "Tropical Nights" on an extended-lead steel pan. She also founded and co-directs the Needham School children's band called "Needham Rocks. This is her 19th year at the Red Lodge Music Festival.
