Special Notice

In this extraordinary time, all of us are making unprecedented sacrifices to ensure the safety of our families and our communities.  For 56 years the Red Lodge Music Festival’s first priority always has been the health and safety of our students, our world-class faculty, and the Red Lodge community.  With that priority uppermost in their minds, the Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 2020 Red Lodge Music Festival. We eagerly anticipate seeing everyone in Red Lodge June 5-13, 2021.

Plato said, “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.”  Music is our shared passion, and we encourage everyone to listen to the music that brings you joy.  Listen to Performance Today on American Public Media for Red Lodge Music Festival faculty performances; tune in or stream Yellowstone Public Radio broadcasts of festival performances; and check out Yo-Yo Ma’s #SongsOfComfort on Twitter!  Above all, wash your hands, be safe, and come play music in the mountains June 5-13, 2021!
