Auditions
Audition Information
All students will audition for ensemble and orchestra placement when they arrive at the festival on Saturday, June 6, 2026. All of the materials listed for your instrument must be prepared in advance!
Please watch Preparing for an Audition with your student. Some of this is geared toward string players specifically, but there is valuable information here for all musicians attending camp.
Junior audition music can be printed by clicking the links below for your instrument. Wind and brass instrument participation in orchestra will be determined by their auditions on June 6.
All piano-only students should be aware that they may be asked to help out with a large ensemble (band or orchestra) in order to fill out their week at the Festival. Most often, the final Saturday and Sunday student activities are for large groups only.
Which music should I prepare?
Junior designation is for students who have just completed 7th or 8th grade.
Senior designation is for students who have just completed 9-12th grade.
Honor String Ensemble (seniors only) – Honor String Ensemble audition submissions are due Monday, February 23, 2026. This ensemble is prepared in advance of camp and rehearses 8:30 AM – 9:50 AM during camp.
